How to spot quality – finding your favorite piece

Keep your eyes open when buying - this is what really matters

Especially when it comes to clothing you want to wear for a long time - like traditional costumes - quality counts. But how do you recognize it?

The 5-point checklist:

1. Fabric quality
   Pure cotton, linen, or blends with natural fibers not only feel better but also last longer. Our shirts are made of 100% finely woven cotton.
2. Workmanship & seams
   Clean, even seams without loose threads? A sign of care. Pay special attention to heavily stressed areas such as collars & cuffs.
3. Buttons & details
   Mother-of-pearl buttons, real horn buttons, or corozo? These not only look elegant but also last better than plastic.
4. Fit
   Traditional clothing should not be tight. An ideal fit is close-fitting but not restrictive. If you prefer a sportier look, choose a slim silhouette with freedom of movement.
5. Easy care & durable
   A shirt that retains its shape even after several washes is worth its weight in gold. Tip: High-quality fabrics wrinkle less.
